Queen of Alexandria™ WowPot!™
There are hundreds of online pokies out there that make use of the Ancient Egyptian theme, and given the rich mythology, legends of untold treasures and more, it’s not hard to see why this era continues to be a popular source of inspiration. While there is certainly a risk of themes being overdone or otherwise becoming cliche, that of Ancient Egypt doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. Queen of Alexandria™ WowPot!™ is a collaborative creation of both Microgaming and Neon Valley Studios, featuring 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines. What’s more, the game boasts 4 exciting jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major and WowPot™, with the latter having a minimum starting amount of 2 Million credits – but more on that later. For now, let’s take a closer look at Queen of Alexandria™ WowPot!™, and then look at one of the best online casinos in NZ at which it can be played.

Gameplay Basics
Set against a majestic scene featuring pyramids and temple ponds, Queen of Alexandria™ WowPot!™ is played across a grid boasting 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines, as mentioned earlier. This online pokies game in NZ is considered medium volatility. Now, while a high volatility game may tend to pay out less frequently, but in larger amounts, and a low volatility game can pay out more regularly but in smaller amounts, a medium volatility game sits comfortably in the middle. The betting range of this title extends from at little as 0.10 credits all the way up to a maximum of 200, making it perfect for all manner of gamers. All of the necessary buttons are on the bottom of the screen, making navigation a cinch, even on smaller devices like smartphones and tablets.
What the reels hold
While the Ancient Egyptian theme is very prominent in this online pokies game in NZ, the developers have done an excellent job at keeping things subtle. The BAR symbol is depicted as a golden sphynx, and there is also a shining red 7. Other high values include different coloured gemstones, most of which are emblazoned with some of other reference to Egypt, such as the golden Eye of Horus, a red scarab, a purple Ankh and then blue and green gems with indeterminate designs on them. The symbol of Cleopatra is Wild, giving her the power of substitution – for any other symbol on the reels, except the progressive trigger symbol, a shining diamond. She can also expand across the entire reel upon which she lands and tigger a respin, which will see her staying on the reels while the rest spin. That progressive trigger symbol also has a magical ability – it can land on any other symbol (except Cleopatra), and each one that lands is collected. The more of these one is able to collect, the greater their chances of triggering the jackpot wheel, where players will have a chance at spinning for a lucrative WowPot™ amount.
