Affiliate Disclosure

Updated Written for New Zealand players

Online NZ Casino is paid for by the casinos it writes about. This page explains how that arrangement works, what it changes for you as a reader and what it does not. It sits alongside our editorial policy, how we rate casinos and the disclaimer; where one of those goes into more detail, it is linked rather than repeated.

Who earns what

The site is published by Azulane Media Group N.V. The company has affiliate agreements with some of the operators that appear here. Under those agreements an operator pays the company when a reader follows one of our links, opens an account and deposits. Depending on the deal, that can be a one-off fee for the new customer, a share of the net revenue the operator makes from that account over time, or a mix of the two. A revenue share grows when a referred player loses, which is a conflict of interest, and we would rather name it than leave it for you to guess.

That income pays for writing, checking and hosting. We take no money from readers, sell no subscriptions and run no display advertising.

It costs you nothing extra

An operator does not charge you more because you arrived through our link. Deposit limits, wagering rules, withdrawal times and bonus terms are the same as for anyone who types the operator’s address directly. If a bonus code is attached to one of our links, it is the operator’s own offer and is described with the operator’s terms, not ours.

Where the commercial links are

Commercial links on this site all run through a /go/ address and carry rel="sponsored" in the page code. You will find them on the casino listings on our hub pages, on the buttons in operator reviews and next to bonus offers. Everything else is an ordinary link: to other pages of the site, to the Department of Internal Affairs and other public bodies, to the Gambling Helpline and support services, and to sources we quote. Nobody pays us for those.

Partners in our listings

Commercial agreements decide which brands appear on the site at all: an operator we have no agreement with may simply not be listed. Within a listing, the order follows the checks set out under how we rate casinos — published terms, payment options for New Zealand players, withdrawal conditions and complaint history — and a position in a table is also shaped by those agreements. When a block is a promotion rather than a ranking, it says so.

What money cannot change

A partner cannot buy a change to a fact we have recorded, the removal of an unfavourable term from a review, a better score, or a page that pretends to be independent when it has been paid for. We do not sell guest posts or links inside editorial text. If an operator’s terms get worse, the review says so whether or not the brand is a partner, and a partner that stops paying out or changes ownership is reviewed again like any other.

What the law says about overseas operators

Until the first online casino licences from the Department of Internal Affairs take effect, every online casino that accepts New Zealanders runs from abroad. Section 16 of the Gambling Act 2003 restricts advertising overseas gambling in New Zealand. Our pages describe these operators so that readers can compare them with the facts in hand; none of them is an invitation to sign up, and the disclaimer covers this in more detail.

Your side of it

Before you deposit, read the operator’s current terms on the operator’s own site: they take precedence over anything written here. Online casino play in New Zealand is for people aged 18 and over. Treat a stake as money spent on entertainment. If play stops being fun, the Gambling Helpline answers free and in confidence on 0800 654 655 or by text to 8006; more help is listed under responsible gambling.
